First sailed in 1906 (the year of the great San Francisco earthquake), the Transpac is the longest of the two oldest ocean races in the world. Sailed every other year, the 49th Transpac will start on July 3rd from the Pt Fermin Buoy off San Pedro, Los Angeles and culminate with an awards ceremony in Honolulu, Hawaii on July 21st.
This year’s entry list is very impressive and includes a number of yachts from our San Diego sailing community. Rigworks is proud to have worked on many of these gorgeous yachts over the years and looks forward to helping them prepare for this year’s event.
