About This Service

Rigworks is based in Point Loma, San Diego and provides full rigging services to sailboats at Dana Point Harbor. We come to your marina for most jobs — standing rigging, running rigging, rig inspections, hydraulics, winches, and furlers. Larger work like mast stepping is coordinated at our shop.

There is no full-service rigging shop in Dana Point. Rigworks fills that gap — one call, one crew, everything your rig needs.

Common Questions

Do you come to Dana Point Harbor?
Yes. We provide field service at Dana Point Harbor for most running rigging, inspection, winch, and furling system work. Standing rigging and mast work may require a trip to our Point Loma shop depending on the scope.
How far in advance should I book before an offshore passage?
At least 3–4 weeks before departure. For the Baja Ha-Ha or other rallies, book earlier — slots fill up months in advance.
What does a rig inspection include?
All shrouds and stays, swage fittings, toggles, chainplates, spreaders, masthead, and running rigging — with a written report of findings.
How long does standing rigging last?
Inspect stainless wire every 10–12 years or earlier if going offshore. We can assess your specific rig and give you an honest assessment.
